Smooth Edge Music provided the perfect balance of gentle music where required; traditional for the couple’s first dance; lively fun dance as the evening developed. Not a remote ensemble but an interactive joyous and oh so skilful that very quickly became friends and part of our reception.

The blend of music was perfect and skilfully delivered; the vocals were stunning – in my nativity I had been thinking music equals instruments but Elliot provided the most skilful professional of singers, again with a personality that exuded friendliness and party fun.

The band are without doubt the most skilful of musicians but what sets them above the rest is their skill in interpreting what is needed and delivering that with a relationship to the receivers – our wedding guests.

I am charged by the bride and groom to ensure I extend their sincere and heartfelt gratitude for the pivotal part Smooth Edge played in their joyous celebrations.

I am the proudest of Dads, bursting with love and excitement now that I have a daughter – an excitement added to by Elliot and his band as they soothed away the stresses of wedding organisation and heralded the new life for our children.

Great event at Principal Hotel’s iconic ballroom in Manchester, where around 400 neuroscience nurses and neurosurgeons from across the globe were entertained by Smooth Edge at a Gala dinner. The atmosphere during the night was abound with super guitar, keys, sax and vocals that were of top quality. This well-established group of competent musicians played two music sets; starting with a mixture of well-chosen smooth jazz followed by an up-tempo jazz funk set which revealed both the skills and repertoire of the band.

Great atmosphere at The Fox, both you guys bounce off each other to great effect. The combination of classic Soul, Jazz, R&B and fantastic food make for an evening you will want to repeat again and again.

Serene music that enthralled the live music fans and entertained the rest of our guests at my 50th birthday last night. Everyone wanted to know where the band had been discovered. Elliott and Pete were professional in their approach, well organised to deliver a special party performance, passionate in their music and really nice people – Book them!

Thank you so much, Elliot and Peter for providing wonderful music at my husbands 50th Birthday party in Grappenhall. You had our very own unique sound and you were both able to be part of the birthday experience and created a real party atmosphere. The dancing at the end was the icing on the cake!!!! Look forward to hearing your music soon.

My wife and I shared our 60th’s and 40th wedding anniversary and through a family member were alerted to Smooth Edge and were fortunate enough to have them to play at our party on February 7th 2015, What a professional band of musicians who can play just about anything and have a wonderful warm persona that makes for a fantastic experience and made the difference to the whole evening. During and after the party we had so many people asking ” where did you find the band” all saying how brilliant they were.

Having booked smooth edge for both the Alderley and Bramhall BubbleRoom Bar and Restaurant- they have been fantastic and proved very popular with the regular Sunday night crowd. They are able to adapt to any crowd size to creat a great atmosphere. Very professional- I would definitely recommend. Can’t wait for them to play on New Years Eve!
